Kimberly Elise praised the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade overturning, drawing criticism online.

The Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade on Friday, a nearly 50-year-old ruling that secured a pregnant woman’s right to have an abortion. Abortion rights activists protested the ruling all weekend.

One actress supported the overturning on Tuesday. Kimberly Elise, known for her roles in Diary of a Mad Black Woman and The Manchurian Candidate, posted an Instagram animation with Psalm 139:13–14. Elise captioned: “Millions of babies will be saved from death by abortion due to the overturning of Roe V. Wade. Hallelujah!”
