On Monday afternoon, a carjacking outside the pastor’s Whitehaven residence resulted in her murder.

The wounded person was taken to the hospital, where she eventually passed away from her wounds. She was later identified as Rev. Dr. Autura Eason-Williams.

According to MPD, a group of teens participated in a carjacking and police pursuit in Berclair on Tuesday morning had ties to the circumstances following the murder of Rev. Dr. Autura Eason-Williams.

In connection with the pastor’s killing, a 15-year-old kid was charged with first-degree murder, murder in the commission of a robbery, especially aggravated robbery, carjacking, and use of a handgun during a dangerous felony.

A 16-year-old was charged with stealing items valued between $2,500 and $10,000.

A 17-year-old boy was released without charges.
