Shaggy revealed in this video that he wrote his album “Hot Shot” while still residing in Jamaica, which resulted in several of his biggest singles, including “Angel” and “It Wasn’t Me.”

Shaggy then stated that the latter went 10 times platinum, with 11 people associated with the album purchasing properties as a reward.

Shaggy went on to say that he told Eddie Murphy that his “Raw” stand-up special inspired the song, and Eddie then joked about royalties.
