After police said they found her two daughters left alone in a Belmont Avenue motel room on Thursday night, a Liberty Township mother pleaded not guilty to child endangerment.
Acting on a tip, the police found a 10-year-old girl and her two-year-old sister in the Motel Six room around 6 p.m.
The mom, 24-year-old Shaina Bell, who was working at a pizza store and told police that she typically has someone to check on her kids every hour while she’s at work.
Bell was taken to the county jail on two counts of child endangering.
The father now has custody of the children.
