Shootout In Houston Ends With Four People Getting Hit

The Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults division is probing a shootout in a northwest side neighborhood early Tuesday morning that left four people injured, according to KHOU.

According to Lt. Christopher Bruce, there were reports of gunfire shortly after 12 a.m. at a residence on Stallings Drive, just west of W. Montgomery.

“We have officers going door to door trying to locate witnesses,” said Bruce. “We’ve got of course the individuals at the house being persons of interest, that are being secured by officers.”

Police discovered a man with a bullet wound to his leg at the residence, as well as two other gunshot victims in a car in a ditch just east of the residence.

According to police, a fourth person was driving in another automobile just a few streets away when he reported hearing a bang. He had a gunshot wound to the neck. According to Bruce, the victim called a friend, who then called the man’s wife and the police.
