Authorities in Texas are looking for a man who left a Harris County bar late Sunday after fatally shooting a relative while pistol-whipping another customer.
The victim has been identified as Luis Rivera, 24, by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Video from inside the bar apparently shows an altercation breaking out between two groups, according to authorities. According to KTRK, the attacker took out a semi-automatic weapon and started hitting one of the patrons with it when it fired and hit Rivera.
According to Sgt. B. Beall of the Houston Police Department, first responders discovered the victim dead within the bar, but the shooter, who was only identified as a Hispanic man in his 20s, had already disappeared.
Investigators assume the fugitive is on his way to Laredo.
