Police are asking for information about a guy seen kicking a woman down an escalator in a disturbing surveillance video.
The apparent assault took place Thursday evening in Brooklyn, as the guy in the video is seen walking up past the 32-year-old woman on an escalator exiting the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center Station.
According to the video, he turns around and kicks the victim in the chest, sending her plunging down several feet of the restricted steps.
“I’m lucky I’m not dead or unconscious, but it could happen to somebody else who runs into him,” the woman said on Monday to NBC New York.
“There was someone that brushed past me, like pushed me to the side and it was this guy and I told him real quick, ‘say excuse me.'”
According to the woman, that’s when the man snapped and kicked her in the chest, knocking her 20 feet down the escalator.
According to the NYPD, the suspect fled the scene and has yet to be identified.
