Deputies say the man who shot and killed a widely known Atlanta rapper has surrendered to authorities.

Trouble, whose real identity is Mariel Orr, was gunned down early Sunday morning while visiting a female companion at a Conyers apartment building.

Deputies revealed to Channel 2 Action News late Monday night that Jamichael Jones was expected to surrender to police and that the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office would hold a news conference at 10: 30 p.m. to provide an update on the investigation.

Deputies in Rockdale had already identified Jones as the shooter in the fatal shooting.
