T-Pain was shocked to find out he had missed out on multiple opportunities with various celebrities’ because he didn’t know the location of Instagram’s requested DMs folder.

Mr. ‘Buy U a Drank’ arranged a interview with Instagram’s owner and Facebook co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg, to discuss ways to enhance the platform’s architecture.

Zuckerberg went on to explain why the folder exist and the future of the DM filter, “The reason we have the ‘request feature’ is to prevent bullying or spam and other unwanted interactions — to be able to filter that out. Ideally, we should be able to figure out who the other people who might be sending you messages are who should get into that. The feature isn’t quite as advanced today as hopefully, it [will be] in the future.”
