Terrence Clarke, a former UK men’s basketball player, died in a car accident in Los Angeles on Thursday. He was 19 years old at the time.

According to sources, the NBA Draft prospect died in a car accident after training with BJ Boston.

According to the LAPD, Clarke was speeding when he crossed a red light, collided with another car turning left, and went on to strike a pole and a block wall. Clarke was not wearing his seatbelt correctly at the time, according to police.

University of Kentucky’s Head Coach, John Calipari, released a statement on the tragic passing of his former player.

I am absolutely gutted and sick tonight. I ask that everyone take a moment tonight to say a prayer for Terrence Clarke and his family. May he Rest In Peace.

Clarke is survived by his three siblings, Tatyana Gray, Gavin Clarke, and Madison Adrianne, as well as his parents, Osmine Clarke and Adrian Briggs.
