According to police, a woman helped facilitate a hit on her maintenance man at a North Memphis apartment building, and one person was shot.

A man was shot at an apartment complex on Decatur Street on April 21 and transported to the hospital in critical condition, according to Memphis police.

Tierra Thomas, 29, his next-door neighbor, is accused of committing the crime, according to police. Thomas allegedly accused her maintenance man of stealing from her while working inside her apartment, according to court documents.

The maintenance man was standing outside with another tenant on the day of the shooting, police say, when Thomas and an unidentified man approached.

“Is that him?” the man allegedly asked Thomas, according to police. “Yes,” Thomas said in response.

According to MPD, the man shot at both men, critically injuring the tenant. The maintenance worker was not wounded.

Several of the bullets, according to Memphis police, landed in a nearby apartment. A woman and her four children were inside. Thankfully, none of them were hurt, according to police.

Thomas, according to police, was the one who facilitated the shooing.

Two counts of attempted murder and seven counts of aggravated assault have been filed against her.
