A driver was arrested in Southern Arizona on Thursday after authorities discovered over 370,000 fentanyl pills in their vehicle.

Imelda Carter, 47, was arrested after a traffic stop near Interstate 10 and South Park Avenue in Tucson by Pima County Sheriff’s Office detectives.

Carter was allegedly found with 371,000 fentanyl pills, also known as “M-30” pills.

According to detectives, the quantity of pills allegedly discovered in the suspect’s car is worth approximately $1.4 million. Carter was turned over to federal authorities and will be charged with multiple felonies in the future.
