The countdown to the premiere of Sherri Shepherd’s new daytime talk show has officially begun.
Shepherd promises to take viewers “on every step of this journey… behind the scenes, on the road, in the studio, rehearsals, interviews, and so much more” in the trailer shared exclusively with Page Six, the former “The View” co-host said at the first photo shoot for the show.
Shepherd’s show is produced by Debmar-Mercury, the production company behind “The Wendy Williams Show,” and it will substitute Williams, who “stopped showing up to work” due to personal and medical concerns last summer.
Williams does seem to be under the impression that she will return to her eponymous show in the fall, but people close to her production insist she’s finished — at least for the time being.
Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, co-presidents of Debmar-Mercury, have stated, “We hope to be able to work with Wendy again in the future, and continue to wish her a speedy and full recovery.”
