In a new allegation against Trey Songz, a woman’s lawyers say the video proves their case against him.
Attorneys George Vrabeck and Ariel Mitchell sent the demand letter to Trey Songz and his team on behalf of their client Megan Johnson, who they claim was sexually assaulted by Trey during a party in August 2013.
They claim Megan met Trey in the VIP tent at “Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Trey Songz” at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT.
The letter asserts that Johnson was having a friend take her picture when Trey allegedly approached from behind, pulled her breast out of her bikini top, and chanted “T***ies in the Open” four times.
In the video, a woman identified as Johnson reaches up to cover her chest in shame.
Despite Megan’s smiling and laughing in the clip, her lawyers claim she was humiliated, and the incident caused her severe emotional distress and self-harm.
Reportedly Megan was triggered by Trey’s Vegas case, which was recently dropped. The lawyers say the lawsuit will be dropped if Trey settles for right around $5 million.
The statute of limitations for this in CT is generally 3 years, though if the alleged victim has a memory issue and doesn’t recall the incident until later, she may be able to extend that period.
