On Sunday, a locomotive derailed in Iowa, resulting in a blazing, smoke-filled crash that prompted officials to order an evacuation of the vicinity.

Residents within a 5-mile radius were instructed to leave the area while HAZMAT crews handled the train crash, which was purportedly carrying the chemical ammonium nitrate.

According to local news media, the derailment was caused by a bridge collapse in the town of Sibley, which sent plumes of dark smoke into the sky viewable from miles away.
