CBS decided to cancel the season finale of “FBI” after a school shooting at an elementary school in Texas.

The network announced on Tuesday that it will not broadcast the “Prodigal Son” season 4 finale. CBS made a conscious decision following the murder of at least 19 students at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, by an assailant. According to authorities, the shooter also killed 2 adults.

In the finale’s plot, a student was suspected of involvement in a violent robbery. Uncertainty exists as to whether the episode will air in the future.

The plot summary reads: “As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate.”

The network rebroadcast the 12th episode of the show, “Under Pressure,” as the season finale.

Due to the horrific shooting, Apple TV+ canceled a red-carpet event for the second season of “Physical,” starring Rose Byrne.
