A Wisconsin restaurant employee is recovering after being shot in the face by irate customers over a $3 hamburger that was not included in their order.
Anthony Rodriguez, 26, a father of one, miraculously managed to survive the January 30 shooting that fractured his spine and left a piece of the bullet stuck in his throat.
Rodriguez was the restaurant’s sole server on the night of the attack, which occurred shortly after 12 a.m.
Bryanna and Breanta Johnson, both 20, are accused of being ‘impatient and rude’ while waiting for their order and then becoming enraged when a hamburger went missing, spurring one of them to walk outside and return with a handgun.
The two then attacked Rodriguez, police said, and one of them shot him in the face while he was down.
The twin sisters were later apprehended and charged with attempted homicide in connection with the blatant attack. According to police records, they are being held in jail on $100,000 bail.
Both sisters face up to 65 years in prison if convicted, police say, as they were both involved in the attack.
