Mothers may soon get child support payments even before their child is born. Republicans in the Senate are attempting to approve a bill that would provide financial assistance to expectant moms. The Unborn Child Support Act was introduced on Thursday by Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Kevin Cramer (R-ND).

As a result of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Republicans are making this initiative. Republicans assert that this law is intended to aid women who choose life over abortion.
