Vehicle Crashes into Food Truck in Texas Injuring Several People

According to authorities, eleven people were injured in a “major collision” Friday night in Austin, Texas, that included pedestrians and two vehicles, one of which hit a food truck.

According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, two of the victims suffered potentially life-threatening injuries. Seven others suffered non-life threatening injuries that necessitated medical attention. The other two cases did not necessitate hospitalization.

The accident happened in a popular area near downtown Austin where food carts are frequently positioned.

According to Christa Stedman, an ACEMS spokesperson, there was a T-bone-type collision around 9 p.m. ET, with one vehicle being pushed into pedestrians and a food truck.

On Friday night, Austin police were unable to provide any additional information about the crash, but they did say the drivers are cooperating with the investigative process.
