The suspect held up a 76-year-old woman with a knife during an ATM robbery, according to surveillance footage released by police. The Robbery Division of the Houston Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect.
This happened at a drive-thru in the 2800 block of Gessner in northwest Houston on February 1 shortly after 5 p.m.
The woman was in her vehicle withdrawing money when an unknown male appeared and started pointing a knife at her, according to police. He made a demand for her wallet.
The suspect took the victim’s wallet and fled in an unknown direction.
The woman, who did not want to be interviewed on camera, said the robber was polite and respectful and that she didn’t even realize the knife because it happened so quickly.
