Dramatic footage shows onlookers rushing to the rescue of a motorcyclist trapped beneath a car that had struck them in Myrtle Beach.
After a collision on Ocean Boulevard on Saturday afternoon, a motorcyclist became trapped under a car and was shared by the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Video shows that officers and witnesses lifted the car to free the person and get him out of harm’s way.
Police verified that the motorcyclist and his passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
The police are using the incident to warn drivers to slow down and double-check their surroundings to ensure the safety of everyone on the roadways. The police advised increasing your distance from other vehicles.
Johnny Taylor, 25, was arrested for the incident, according to a report number provided by police.
Taylor was charged with having an open container of beer or wine and following too closely.
