Viral Video Shows Texas Deputy Brutally Punching 16-Year-Old In Houston (Image: Screenshot/YouTube)
Two deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were fired after internal inquiries revealed significant policy violations.
Deputy Eric D. Sanchez was fired on April 8 after an investigation by the Internal Affairs Division into a clip shared on social media detailing an altercation with both him and a driver, according to KHOU .
Deputy Bert Dillow was fired on April 28 after an Internal Affairs Division inquiry into a video shared on social media depicting a use-of-force incident involving a teenage male.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office will decide if criminal proceedings are warranted. Both deputies have the option to appeal their terminations in compliance with Sheriff’s Civil Service policies.
