According to authorities, a man accused of murdering his mother and grandfather inside a Fresno home is on the run and may be making his way down to Los Angeles County.
On Wednesday, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office issued an update, pleading with the public for assistance in locating 25-year-old Rahmad Kerel Parke, ABC7 reported.
He allegedly murdered Melba Abdelaziz, 58, and Mel Abdelaziz, 90. According to investigators, the woman was tending to her father’s medical needs. According to investigators, he had served as a church pastor for 70 years prior to his murder.
Parke is believed to be homeless and has been seen in Fresno and Los Angeles County, specifically Santa Monica, Van Nuys, and Sherman Oaks.
Melba Abdelaziz, the suspect’s mother, and Mel Abdelaziz, Parke’s grandfather, were discovered dead in a southeast Fresno home on Tulare Avenue.
The motive for the killings are unknown, FresnoBee reported.
Parke’s mother was discovered dead inside the home, and Parke’s grandfather was found murdered outside. Mel Abdelaziz, deputies stated, showed obvious signs of trauma.
On Friday morning, the family held a press conference to convey a message to the community, and more specifically, to Rahmad.
