Washington Football Team running back Derrius Guice was arrested on domestic violence charges.

According to the Loudon County Sheriff’s office, the 23-year-old faces charges including a felony count of strangulation, three counts of assault and battery and one count of property damage.

According to the Washington Post, Guice turned in to police in Leesburg, Virginia, just after 5 pm Friday.

Two hours after that, the Washington Football Team issued a statement stating they’ve removed Guice from the roster.

Police said Guice ‘s charges are linked to three suspected cases of domestic abuse that happened on February 14, March 13, and April 17 this year, an ESPN reporter tweeted on Friday evening.

The sheriff’s office told the Washington Post that the three incidents had taken place at Guice’s residence in Ashburn, Maryland, and it had been reported to the Montgomery County Police Department.

The victim of the alleged domestic violence was not named.

Guice was released on an unsecured $10,000 bond and sped away at around 7:30pm Friday from the police station in a silver Range Rover.
