According to Page Six, the controversial TV talk show star has stated unequivocally that she will return to her iconic purple chair in September. However, Debmar-Mercury, the production house, claims that it is “logistically impossible” for her to do just that.

To begin, The View veteran Sherri Shepherd already has signed a deal with Debmar-Mercury to fill Williams’ broadcast time. “Where’s she gonna go? It’s done. Logistically, it won’t work. Sherri has her time slots,” a source informed Page Six.

Williams, who recently chatted with Fat Joe on IG Live, vowed that she’ll “absolutely” be back and that she won’t be watching Shepherd’s show.

“I’m coming back to ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’ Absolutely. Absolutely,” she assured the hip hop artist, who has been stepping in for Williams as a host of the show with Remy Ma.
