Woman's Decomposed Body Found Under Ex-Boyfriend's Mattress

This week, the decaying body of an Arkansas lady was discovered beneath the mattress of her ex-boyfriend, who is still on the run from authorities.

Authorities believe Robin Elizabeth Allmon, 42, had been dead for several days when her corpse was discovered rolled in a sheet under a mattress at Maurice Winda’s residence in Hughes, Arkansas.

The cause of death for Allmon has yet to be determined. Winda, who is being sought for questioning, works in the sanitation department for the City of Hughes, according to officials. On Monday, while Winda was there, a Hughes police officer performed a welfare check at his home. However, it took officials several hours to uncover Allmon’s rotting remains.

Although no motive was given, deputies stated that there had been accusations of abuse.

Sheriff Bobby May said he is awaiting the medical examiner’s findings to determine the exact cause of death.
