A man and a woman have been accused in a shooting in north Harris County that investigators say was the result of road rage. Sheriff Ed Gonzales confirmed their arrests and bookings into the Harris County Jail on Tuesday night.

The shooting occurred on Tuesday afternoon. The victim and his 2-year-old child were traveling northbound on the North Freeway. The suspects in a truck pursued them when they exited at Parramatta, said to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

When both vehicles screeched to a halt, the man in the pickup, identified as Benjamin Greene, reportedly confronted the victim and assaulted him. Gonzalez stated that while the victim attempted to flee, a woman in the pickup, identified as Nazly Ortiz, jumped out with a handgun and fired into the backseat window.

Ortiz fired a second shot at the victim as he drove away. A video uploaded on social networking sites captures the moment the woman fired at the vehicle.

Gonzalez said that a neighbouring dealership was also hit. There were no injuries.

The driver of the silver car was transported to the hospital with a graze wound but is expected to recover.

Ortiz was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. According to Gonzalez, Greene was charged with assault.
