Police have released new information about an early morning accident Saturday in which the body of a woman who had been shot to death was discovered inside a vehicle.

Shandon Nicole Scott, 32, was the woman found dead in the vehicle, according to KUTV.

Scott and her boyfriend, whose Terence Trent Vos, 31, were involved in a domestic violence incident at a home near Nibley Park in Millcreek, Utah, according to authorities.

Police suspect Vos shot Scott during the fight and then drove them both away from the area. He slammed into a highway wall about a mile and a half away and fled the scene. He was later apprehended and jailed.

A neighbor told FOX 13 that he heard fighting late Friday night and into early Saturday morning. They were arguing in a driveway until a neighbor asked them to stop, at which time he claims they got in the car and began to fight once again.
