A pickup truck ran over one guy and injured another while the Stonewall Pride Parade in Wilton Manors was just getting underway Saturday night.

The truck was aligned with the other floats when it accelerated and ran over two men around 7pm. The man that was driving the truck was taken into custody and questioned while sporting a Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus t-shirt.

The president of the chorus stated that chorus members were the ones injured and that the driver was “part of the Chorus family.”

People overheard the man stating that the entire situation was an accident.

When asked if the driver was being charged or if he was under the influence, Fort Lauderdale Police Det. Ali Adamson would only state that they are speaking with the motorist while their investigation continues. Saturday night, the FBI was called in to assist with the investigation.
