Daisy “Jupiter” Paulsen, 14, died after being viciously attacked last week in Fargo. She was assaulted at random by Arthur Kollie, 23, who is suspected of stabbing the youngster over 20 times while assaulting and choking her.
Police responded on Friday to a strip mall and located the teen’s bloody body at 7 in the morning. Her father said she was skateboarding when she was assaulted while trying to visit her mom before she left for work.
Witnesses said they saw a man wearing a bloody t-shirt and fleeing the area. Moments into the investigation, authorities realized the teen’s wallet, iPhone and backpack was missing.
Arthur Collie was arrested and is now facing attempted murder, robbery and aggravated assault charges. According to KVLY-TV, video surveillance from the strip mall reportedly showed the 23-year-old accused assaulting Jupiter before fleeing the scene.
Collie could be seen entering the store without a shirt on, snatching garments from surrounding racks, and then accessing a changing room, according to security video recorded from inside a nearby Walmart.
Authorities allegedly uncovered his bloody shoes inside the same stall when they showed up at Walmart.
