According to police in Arizona, a 16-year-old McDonald’s employee was shot and killed during a fight in the restaurant’s restroom.

Sergeant Vincent Cole, a Phoenix Police Department spokesman, said the teen, Prince Nedd, was involved in a fight Wednesday morning near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road in west Phoenix.

According to CBS 5, police believe the victim knew the guy who shot him. Following the altercation in the bathroom, the suspect fled.

According to Sgt Cole, “There is a person of interest that we’re looking for. We’re not releasing too many details on the suspect at this time.”

He added that no one else was injured and officers were conducting interviews with witnesses to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the altercation.

Nedd’s family told Phoenix-based NBC affiliate KPNX that he began working at the McDonald’s less than two months ago.

According to the news station, two employees on the scene at the time of the shooting stated that the shooter is another teen employee with whom they had previously argued.

Nedd attended Betty H. Fairfax High School as a senior and played football there, according to his friends.
