According to Milwaukee Police, 17 persons were shot on Water St. in downtown Milwaukee on Friday night.

According to police, incident happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of N. Water St., near E. Highland Ave., and just blocks from from Fiserv Forum, where scores of people had just witnessed Game 6 of the Bucks-Celtics postseason series.

According to authorities, the victims of the gunshots range in age from 15 to 47 years old.

So far, ten persons have been detained, and nine firearms have been recovered. All of the victims of the shooting are expected to live.

This shooting occurred shortly after another near Highland and MLK around 9 p.m. Friday, in which three individuals were shot.
