According to Atlanta police, four individuals were detained and seven suitcases containing more than 170 pounds of marijuana were confiscated after arriving in Atlanta on a trip from Seattle last week.
According to a news statement from the department, on May 26, an Atlanta Police Department K-9 canine alerted officials to five suitcases that had been taken off the airplane and were on their way to baggage claim.
Officers apprehended four persons, each of whom took at least one of the suitcases. According to authorities, an examination of those luggage revealed that they all contained weed.
The four people were charged with marijuana trafficking and all were hauled to the Clayton County Jail.
