A man and a woman have been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of rap artist Vincent Cohran, also known as Slim 400, in Inglewood late last year, according to KTLA.

According to the Inglewood Police Department, the shooting took place around 7:50 p.m. on Dec. 8 as the victim was attempting to leave his vehicle in the 8600 block of South 7th Avenue.

Officers were patrolling the area when they heard the gunshots. According to authorities, they responded and discovered Cohran on the ground with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a nearby hospital but was later declared dead.

In connection with the shooting, Michael Lanell Terry, 33, of Los Angeles, and Tamra Lynn Bell, 42, of Inglewood, were apprehended on June 9.

Terry was charged with murder and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm on Monday, according to police.

Bell was charged with accessory to the crime after the fact.

Officials did not provide details on how the suspects were identified, and no reason for the shooting was given.It is also unknown if the suspects knew the victim.

Slim 400, who was in his early thirties at the time, was raised in Compton and was known for songs such as “Goapele” and “Piru.”

He was shot several times in Compton in 2019, but he survived after undergoing surgery, according to the Los Angeles Times.
