A 2-year-old, Brison Christian, was killed in the freeway shooting, while a 9-year-old, his brother BJ, was injured and is being treated at Children’s Hospital.

Several arrests have been made in connection with the incident, according to Michigan State Police.

MPD says the are still investigating and more information will be coming soon.

The family was heading home from the from their 9 year old son B.J.’s basketball practice. While coasting own I-75 their car was all of sudden riddle with bullets.

The father stated he knew the sound of gunfire but didn’t think the bullets were being aimed at his vehicle. He also says he spotted the gunman hanging out a passing vehicle.

“The hardest thing ever is for my son to be literally dying in my arms and me being a father and I can’t protect him. I can’t help him,” Brian (their father) said.

Authorities do not believe this was another road rage occurrence.
