During a gathering in Englewood on Tuesday morning, eight individuals were shot, four of them died.
Around 5:45 a.m., shots were fired inside a house in the 6200 block of South Morgan Street after an argument, according to Chicago police.
Four individuals, three women and one male, were declared dead at the scene, according to police Supt. David Brown.
The incident also injured four other individuals, who are being treated at nearby hospitals. A 25-year-old male was shot in the back of the head and brought to Christ Hospital, according to police. At this time, his condition is uncertain.
At the time of the shooting, police report says there was a 2-year-old toddler inside the house. The child was not physically hurt.

Police verified that many bullet casings and a high-capacity magazine for a firearm were discovered inside the residence. There were no firearms found at the scene.
