According to local media reports, an enraged woman was caught in Zhejiang Province in eastern China after purposely running 49 red lights in her ex-man’s vehicle.
According to the state-run Global Times newspaper, the woman, identified only as Lou, contacted a man named Chen to rent her ex’s Audi.
The car was subsequently given to another individual named Zhu, who, along with Lou, used it in a two-day marathon of traffic infractions, according to the Global Times.
According to the publication, Zhu and Lou reportedly ran 49 red lights before being stopped by police.
The car belonged to someone only known as Qian, who had dated Lou before abandoning her for another lady, according to the Global Times.
Following police inquiry, it was found that Lou devised the plan to rack up penalties in order to annoy her ex, according to the publication.
Lou’s accomplice, Zhu, was allegedly promised a date with Lou if he joined in her plot to get revenge.
