Do you want a chance to win the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot ever? If so, you’ll need to go out and buy a ticket or two before the drawing on Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET.
The jackpot has risen to $810 million, equivalent to $470.1 million in cash. In today’s economy, that is not chump change.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2, with an additional $1 for the “Megaplier.” If you win a non-jackpot prize, the Megaplier will be activated. For example, ticket holders in Delaware, New Jersey, and New York who won the drawing last Friday and bought the add-on saw their winnings increase from $1 million to $3 million.
So, what are your chances of winning the jackpot? According to Mega Millions, you have a 1 in 303 million chance of winning.
