Hazel Bryant, Ma’Kiah’s aunt, told the Dispatch. She lived in a foster home near the shooting scene and had an altercation with another person at the home.
Bryant argues her niece had a knife but dropped it before being shot multiple times by a police officer.
Ma’Khia Bryant reportedly called the police for assistance because two girls were fighting outside her home.
