Gayle King posted on Instagram Monday morning that she had tested positive for COVID.

The 67-year-old CBS Mornings cohost uploaded a video in which she spoke directly to the camera from the foyer of her CBS building, where she had taken a precautionary COVID test.

“Okay, the thing I’ve been dreading has finally happened,” King said in the video. “I just tested positive for — I got the ‘rona.”

Another test would be performed to ensure she wasn’t given a false positive, according to King. “We’re gonna take one more just to be sure, but, in the meantime, I’ve been asked to leave the building and go home.”

As she was shooting, King was told to leave the building “Sean is like ‘Gayle, leave the building,'” she says. “I’m leaving. I’m leaving. I’m leaving.”

King concluded the video by saying, “It finally happened to me. I’m double vaccinated and boosted. Go figure.”
