A warrant has been issued by Baltimore County police for the arrest of a Randallstown man who was shot by his wife in DC last week.

According to police, James Weems, Jr., 57, is accused of molesting at least 3 children at the Lil Kidz Kastle Development Center in Owings Mills.

Former Baltimore City police officer James Weems, according to the department, he was hired in 1996 and retired in 2005, however he continued working as a contract specialist until 2008. James Weems recently worked in private security, according to his digital resume.

When police were alerted of the abuse allegations earlier this month, they launched an investigation.

Last Monday, Weems’ wife admitted to shooting him. Shanteari Weems, 50, was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder.

She accused him of molesting children at her Randallstown daycare. Shanteari Weems’ handwritten notes were retrieved in the hotel room, according to Washington police.

“I’m going to shoot [him] but not kill him,” read one of the writings, according to police.

Shanteari Weems wrote in one note that she intended to cripple her spouse.

“I want these kids to get justice, and you gonna pay,” another read, according to police.
