According to police, a guy on parole for robbery…robbed a cellular store in California while wearing an ankle monitor.
On Sunday, July 10, the guy entered a Boost Mobile in Culver City and pointed a semi-automatic pistol at two employees, according to a news release from the Culver City Police Department.
According to authorities, the guy snatched roughly $500 in cash and escaped on foot. Officers discovered the suspect had left his keys at the business after analyzing CCTV footage, according to police.
A block away, they discovered a vehicle that might have belonged to the suspect parked.
When authorities searched the vehicle, they discovered “clothes worn by the suspect,” according to police. Officers resumed their search and came upon a “suspicious guy” who resembled the man in the CCTV footage.
According to authorities, the guy, a 37-year-old Torrance resident, was detained on suspicion of armed robbery. According to police, they discovered a “loaded Glock Semi-automatic weapon,” the stolen cash, and other things from the car.
According to authorities, the individual was on parole for a robbery and was wearing an ankle monitor as a condition of his release.
