Multiple victims have been reported in Sacramento, police say, following a shooting in the city’s downtown. The shooting occurred early Sunday morning, according to the Sacramento Police Department. The victims’ conditions were not immediately known.

People were seen running through the street in a video posted on Twitter, while the sound of rapid gunfire could be heard in the background. Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

Authorities offered few details about the shooting’s circumstances but stated in a tweet that a “large police presence will remain and the scene remains active.”
