After a high-rise condominium building partially fell in Miami Beach early Thursday, at least one person was killed and one kid was rescued, according to NBC.

There is a search and rescue taking place following the partial collapse of the 12-story condo building in Florida’s Miami-Dade County.

The 8777 Collins Avenue building was constructed in 1981 and includes more than 80 units, according to NPR.

Around 2 a.m., the building collapsed. Images uploaded to the internet show the complete side of the building collapsed, with mounds of rubble, wiring, and metal piled along the complex’s east side towards the Atlantic Ocean.

At least one person was killed in the collapse, according to Surfside Mayor Charles Burkett. It was unclear how many people have been injured or were still in the structure when it collapsed, but Burkett said at least ten individuals were treated at the location, according to NBC6
