A hockey fan is sucker-punched following a game in New York City, and the incident is captured on camera.

Police say James Anastasio, 29, punched a Tampa Bay lightning fan at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night after the Rangers lost to the Lightning.

The victim remained unconscious for several minutes. After the initial shock, other fans assisted the victim while another pursued the suspect.

The victim’s brother describes what happened.

“We were just trying to get out of there like everyone else and then all of a sudden a beer was thrown at us. And my brother kind of separated in the second. The next thing I know, I look over, I hear a thud on the ground, and it’s my brother laying there,”

The victim experienced pain and bruising, but declined medical care.

The charges against Anastasio were assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

Additionally, he has been permanently banned from Madison Square Garden.
