Be Aware: Dozens of Jif Peanut Butter Products Recalled Over Salmonella Concerns

J.M. Smucker is recalling specific varieties of Jif peanut butter in the United States due to a possible salmonella contamination.

According to the company, the peanut butter was sold nationwide, and the recall includes over 45 different types of products. The lot codes range from 1274425 to 2140425, according to a company statement.

The lot code is located next to the “best if used by” date on the packaging of the product.
The affected items include creamy and crunchy peanut butters, peanut butter to-go packs, and the natural squeeze pouch.

Customers must discard the product immediately if it is included in the recall coordinated with the Food and Drug Administration of the United States.

Customers who have experienced a reaction and illnesses, or who have any questions, should visit the company’s website from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday.
