On Wednesday, police responding to a stabbing call discovered a woman decapitated on a Minnesota sidewalk.
America Mafalda Thayer, 55, was discovered with knife wounds in Shakopee around 2 in the afternoon on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Shakopee Police Department.
According to a search warrant obtained by KMSP, cops discovered Thayer’s body next to a car, with her head in close proximity.
Alexis Saborit, 42, who had a tumultuous relationship with Thayer, was accused of being involved with her death. According to the Scott County Jail’s inmate roster, he is being held there while a second-degree murder charge is pending.
Thayer reportedly worked at Dollar Tree and MyPillow, according to her workmates.
Her coworkers stated she was in a long term relationship with Saborit and that domestic abuse was a “consistent problem” for the pair.
