An El Paso woman woke up to a gruesome discovery this week when blood dripped on her face and bed after it seeped through her ceiling.
Ana Cardenas says she woke up to a dripping sound around 4 in the morning. She says she thought it was just rain but it was actually human blood, all over her walls, body and bed.
Cardenas who sleeps with the fan on, says the blood dripped down to the fan and then blades blew the blood all over her bedroom walls.
Cardenas said in Spanish, “It grossed me out, I was in shock, I thought this isn’t real this is a dream, wake up. I called maintenance and they said are you sure and I said blood is falling on me.”
She immediately called 911 to report the blood splatter all over her home. She stated that it was a gentleman aged 55-70 who passed away.
Police determined that the man died from natural caused and had been dead for 5-6 days. She states she doesn’t have renter’s insurance because it’s not required for the apartment.
She stated that she did not reinstate her lease after having lived there for a year and eight months, but she is still looking for an apartment within her finances. A GoFundMe page was set up to assist Cardenas in recouping the costs of her damaged property.
