This month, a Florida deputy fatally shot an armed man whose brother was directly adjacent and was bleeding to death after an altercation at an Orlando hotel, according to video released last week.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, brothers Dylan Michael Jimenez, 21, and Bryan Matthew Richardson, 28, died as a result of the incident.

The sheriff’s office released body camera video of deputies responding to a shooting outside an Orlando hotel at 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 6, where they discovered Jimenez injured from being shot.

The video starts with a deputy talking to a man who claims to be a paramedic and is trying to treat an injured individual on the ground who has been shot on the right side of his chest.

In the clip, the deputy can be heard telling the paramedic that they are going to assist the injured man by placing a chest seal on him. The deputy then orders the paramedic to turn the injured man onto his back to allow access his airway.

On the video, shouts of “he has a gun, he has a gun” can be heard. Someone else can be heard shouting that the individual holding the weapon is pointing it at people.

The deputy then approaches a man and tells him to “drop the gun,” while another deputy appears to battle with the man’s left hand.

The unknown deputy then fires numerous rounds at the nearby man, according to the video. The injured man is then observed collapsing in front of a pickup truck.

According to police, Richardson and Jimenez were pronounced dead at a hospital.
