Police in Houston are hoping that somebody will recognize a bold armed robber caught on video by a Ring camera.

According to HPD robbery investigators, the armed person ambushed a 53-year-old woman who had just come to her Houston home.

“And he jumped out the car on me with a gun, and he said b*&% I’ll blow your head off,” Tonya explained. She asked that her face be blurred and only her 1st name be used because the accused is still on the loose and she is frightened.

Tonya hurled her purse and other belongings at the shooter. He then went through her pockets, grabbed the purse, and dashed got into the vehicle, where his getaway driver was waiting.

Tonya stated that she had just returned from the bank with a large sum of money.

“$3,900 – I had just cashed my tax refund check.” It was money she intended to use to care for her son, who is wheelchair-bound.

She’s also grateful to Trae the Truth, who found her after she shared KHOU 11’s video on Instagram. He came by with donations and a positive message.

“Let her know she is no longer alone. She has real ones that care,” the Houston rapper told us.

It actually occurred around 7:35 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, on Boynton Drive near West Orem Drive in Southwest Houston. The Ring camera had only been put in place the day before.

The suspects fled in a four-door black sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra.

The robber, who stood between 5 and 6 feet tall, was dressed in a maroon hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes.
